Vacation is about half way over! Can you believe it? Before we head back to school, just a heads up about what we will be working on when we get back!

• During our Daily 5 sessions we will be focusing on ADVERBS. (Hopefully we can get some pictures up of our adverb project at the end of the week!
• Spelling is all about words that end in -ed or -ing.
• In math we will begin working with fractions! 
• During science we will be continuing our unit on the cardiovascular system. Students will be learning about what a heart does! Last week their focus what: What is a heart? They were able to use stethoscopes, it was great fun! (Pictures will follow!)
• In social studies, we are continuing on with Africa! We will be working up finishing our investigations on our African animals. We will also be doing another African activity!

Good Afternoon all! Here at this blog I will be posting reactions/responses to books, seminars, conferences- as well as posting what my class and I have been working on for units and lessons! For the past 7 weeks I have been in a 2nd grade classroom, and in two weeks I will be changing into a 4th grade! Can't wait to see the changes and learn so much, but sad to say goodbye to my 2nd graders! Once I get parent permission, I will be posting more!
